Michael has been a high achiever his entire life, lives with passion and strives for excellence. He firmly believes that any goal can be achieved, as long as the individual has the right mindset, develops a plan, executes and consistently improves along the way.
At 17, he was selected as Maryland Eastern Shore Player of the Year, played in The Big 33 and received a full scholarship to The College of William and Mary. While at William and Mary he received his teaching and coaching certification and received 1st Team All Conference accolades.
After graduation in 1997, he started his career at AXA / Equitable, where he built his foundation and passion for small businesses as a Top Producer in Business Development, Lead Generation and Consultative Financial Services.
From 1999-2004, he launched his career in Software and Technology with Computer Associates (CA) where he was a top Sales Executive and achieved Club Trip Awards to Brazil, Africa and Europe for being 125%-225% of sales quota.
From 2005- 2014 he worked as a senior executive in business development, marketing and sales at leading technology, software, infrastructure, cloud and SAAS companies as well as development, QA/Testing and staffing consulting services providers including StorageTek, Sun Microsystems (Oracle), AppLabs (CSC), Alliance Global Services (EPAM), Razor Technology, Apigee (Google), Jive Software and Anexinet.
During this time Michael also competed in over 50 Triathlons, did Ironman Louisville in 2009 and wrote two Amazon Kindle eBooks titled, “How Social Selling Can Positively Impact Your Business” and “55 LinkedIn Tips That Will Make You More Money”.
